Yellowjackets FYC Yearbook
Produced at: Legion Creative
Client: Showtime
My Role: Producer, Copy Editor
Work: Print Booklet
Overview: Season one of Yellowjackets was a runaway hit for Showtime, and they rightfully wanted to be considered for a slew of awards. We developed two concepts, with a 90s style yearbook being the winner for the conceit to showcase the awards categories to be considered.
Challenge: The show bounces between the 90s when the girls were struggling to survive, and present day as they grapple with the aftermath of their actions. We didn’t want the book to feel totally retro so had to find the right cap. We also had to figure out how to visually represent all of the different categories up for nomination in the context of a vintage yearbook.
Approach: I worked with a team of incredible designers and creative directors to assemble a unique approach to FYC campaigns that wound up being an insert in a July issue of The Hollywood Reporter. I helped concept for different pages, edit some of the copy, and made sure everything got to the printer on time looking sharp. The show wound up garnering 7 Emmy nods, including Outstanding Drama, Outstanding Directing, Outstanding Lead Actress and Supporting Actress.
