FXX Animation Block

Overview: FXX was launching a brand new programming block of nonstop animation every day from 12p to 12a. Radley and I were tasked with coming up with block names, a graphic-based look and animation package, and fun ideas for bite-sized IDs to cement the network as cable’s home for adult animation lovers.

Challenge: We wound up settling on a look where each show got its own color palette, but while legends like The Simpsons have many recognizable characters, some of FXX’s lesser known shows were tougher to visually represent. The block was less about the name and more about the vibe of the network itself.

Approach: We deconstructed characters and leaned on a vibrant color palette to create a wildly irreverent ID and package true to the network’s core. Buckle up and enjoy the ride in this :10 ID and sizzle showing off the best the package has to offer.
