Overview: Do you wanna know what awesome is? KiwiCo focuses on Science Tech Engineering Art and Math (STEAM) based projects for kids of all ages — including kids-at-heart. They look to inspire future generations of innovators and problem solvers and do “awesome” better than anyone in the space.

Challenge: When the holidays approach, parents are inundated with a plethora of options to wrap and put under the tree. Whether you’ve never heard of KiwiCo or think ‘science’ isn’t exciting enough for kids, getting someone to commit to yet another subscription-based service is no easy feat. We had to show KiwiCo has something for everyone.

Approach: I worked with the wonderful ladies at KiwiCo to develop a script and gather user-generated content from actual subscribers who can attest to the awesomeness of the products. We veered away from cheesy holiday music and graphics so it could stand out from a vast sea of other holiday ads, and got a passionate young customer to do the voiceover for the most authentic “you’ve gotta give this a try” we could muster up.
